How You Can Help / So können Sie helfen…

flagbritain.jpg The Nest is registered as a Charitable Trust in Kenya. The program is not affiliated with any organization but depends entirely on private donations from within Kenya and friends abroad. This makes our fundraising very challenging! We trust in the continuous support of friends and well-wishers – some of which have dedicated their attention to the Nest for many years.
The running costs of the Nest include the up-keep of the children´s welfare, salaries, rescue and re-integration costs. The average all-inclusive expenditure amounts to ~ 7000$ a month. The Nest tries to keep administrative costs at an extremely low level. An audit is labeled annually for transparency.

Here is a chart of the approx. monthly requirements (excluding salaries) for the project (up-dated in Feb ‘08). The exchange rate usually varies between 60 and 70 Kenya Shilling to 1 US$.
