british-flag.jpg Yesterday we received a happy and very kind letter and some pictures from one of our adoptive parents. Their new son, Paul, had been with us for a long time and we loved him dearly. We are happy that he has such a loving family now. Here is what they write:

Dear friends at the Nest Halfway House,

We are at home in the Netherlands for 4 weeks now. For Paul it is the first month in his new home, far away from the place where he was born.
He enjoys the snow, although running and playing outside is a little bit difficult with all these clothes on, and so is sucking your thumb when you wear gloves!
Many times we think and talk about the seven months we spent in Kenya. For us it was the greatest gift ever to become the Mom and Dad of Paul. Words can never express how gratefull we are to the Nest Halfway House, where Paul lived until may 27th, 2009.
‘This is the day that The Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it’ was one of the songs that you sang for Paul and us on that day we celebrated Paul’s new family. We will never forget it, and ‘asante sana’, Irene, all your staff and friends of The Nest, for being there for these children, for being strong and persistent to keep them safe. You make the difference. God bless you!
