Immer wieder kommen neue Babies ins Nest. Wollten wir von allen Neuankömmlingen berichten, so würde uns schnell der Platz ausgehen… Und dennoch wollen wir ab und zu daran erinnern mit welcher Armut wir hier täglich konfrontiert werden. Unsere Babies wurden ausgesetzt,  am Straßenrand, in öffentlichen Verkehrsmittlen, in Krankenhäusern zurückgelassen. Jedes Kind hat seine traurige Geschichte.

Im Nest versuchen wir der traurigen Geschichte ein glückliches Ende zu geben. Eine neue Familie zu finden ist immer wieder eine Herausforderung. Aber das Ergebnis ist der Einsatz wert.

We get new babies at The Nest all the time. We couldn’t possibly share all the  news about new babies and kids because it would take up all of this space. But once in a while we like posting some pictures as a reminder of the poverty we are confronted with every day. Mothers leave their babies abandoned in the streets,  in matatus (public transportation) or in hospitals after giving birth. Every child brings a sad story.

At The Nest we try to turn bad stories into good stories. It is a challenge to find families for the litte ones. But the outcome is worth the struggle.
