flagbritain.jpg A few years ago, The Nest made friends with Kijani Trust Kenya. And what we can say is: They are wonderful people!

Kijani Trust Kenya, a Kenya and UK-based non-profit organization, was set up three years ago with a unique mission – to bring internationally acclaimed music and cultural events to Kenya.

Each year, since its inception in 2004, the Kijani Kenya Trust has run the Kijani Festival, bringing world-famous artists and performing groups to Kenya. Even this year -during March and August- the Programme of Events sounds so exciting that you shouldn’t miss out on it.
A group of children from The Nest are especially excited about the event coming up this Sunday, March 4th in Langata, Nairobi to mark the 50th anniversary of AMREF in Kenya. The children from The Nest will be singing in the opening session of the concert featuring Singers from the London Adventist Chorale, Eric Wainaina & Esther Wahome amongst many others. Can you imagine how The Nest has turned into a “Singing Nest” over the past week while the children are practising and getting ready for the performance on Sunday?!

Update: This is how our yellow Nest-Birds looked like on stage today! They were awesome! We wish you could have heard them singing! On the far right you can see Ken in action… Great performance!
